Anxious the minute you sit down.
Therapy for adults whose anxiety shows up as guilt about resting and never feeling caught up.
Anxiety
Who This Is For
You're exhausted, and the moment you finally relax, the anxiety and guilt arrive.
- Adults who stay busy because stopping feels worse.
- People who feel behind no matter how much gets done.
- Anyone whose evenings and weekends come with a running to-do list in their head.
What We Work On
Guilt about resting
Noticing the rule that says rest must be earned, and testing what happens when you bend it.
The never-caught-up feeling
Separating real deadlines from the general hum of not being done.
Worry loops
Learning to step back from a spiraling thought instead of arguing with it all night.
Avoidance
Spotting the small ways anxiety shrinks your week, and widening it again.
Rest isn't a reward for finishing. You're allowed to stop before the list is done.
How Drew Works
Drew draws on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, Functional Analytic Psychotherapy and behavior analysis. With anxiety, that usually means making room for uncomfortable feelings rather than fighting them, and paying attention to what anxiety pushes you to do.
The aim isn't to never feel anxious. It's to keep anxiety from making every decision about how you spend your time.
What Can Shift
- Resting feels like falling behindRest becomes a choice you can make on purpose
- Every urge to check or fix gets acted onUrges get noticed before they become actions
- Waiting to feel calm before doing anythingTaking the smallest meaningful step anyway

Try Before Next Session
This Week's Experiment
Pick one twenty-minute window this week to do something unproductive on purpose. Notice what your mind says while you do it, and what happens if you stay anyway. Bring what you noticed to the next session.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a diagnosis to start?
No. You can start by describing what's going on. Drew will talk with you about what seems to be happening and what might help.
Will therapy make the anxiety go away?
No one can promise that. The work focuses on changing your relationship with anxiety so it has less say over your life.
What if sitting still on video makes me anxious too?
That's useful information, and you can say so. Sessions can move at a pace that feels workable.
Start with a free consultation. You don't have to be caught up first.
