FAQ
Who can work with Drew?
Drew offers telehealth therapy to adults (18 and older). Therapy is available where Drew is licensed and authorized. Contact the practice to confirm current eligibility before scheduling.
How does telehealth work?
Sessions happen over secure video. You'll need a private place, a stable internet connection and a device with a camera. Many people find it easier to be honest from their own space.
What is ACT?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is an evidence-based approach that focuses on clarifying what matters to you, making room for difficult thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them, and taking practical steps toward your values. Drew combines it with behavioral science.
How often are sessions, and how long?
Sessions are typically weekly and last 45 minutes. See individual therapy for more on the format.
Do you take insurance?
Inner Space Psychological Services is private pay. Drew can provide a superbill, a receipt you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Check with your plan about what it covers. Please ask about current rates during your consultation.
Can therapy guarantee results?
No. Therapy is collaborative, and progress depends on many things. Drew can't promise a particular outcome, but he can promise to be honest with you about what seems to be helping and what isn't.
What's the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy is clinical care from a licensed psychologist and can address mental health concerns. The Self-Led Man is nonclinical group coaching: it focuses on skills, values and accountability, and does not include diagnosis or treatment.
What happens in the first conversation?
The free consultation is a chance to describe what's going on, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working together makes sense. There's no pressure to commit. See explore working together.
