Please read first
The Self-Led Man is nonclinical coaching. It is not psychotherapy, does not include diagnosis or treatment, and is not a substitute for mental health care. Joining the group does not create a therapist-client relationship.
If you're dealing with a mental health condition or significant distress, individual therapy is a better starting point. In an emergency, call 911. For mental health crisis support in the US, call or text 988.
What the twelve weeks cover
A small-group coaching program for men who want to act on their values and stop waiting for motivation.
- 01
Values
Getting specific about what you want your life to stand for, beyond the résumé.
- 02
Practical skills
One concrete skill each week, practiced in the group and tried during the week.
- 03
Honest conversation
A small room of men saying what's actually going on, without posturing.
- 04
Accountability
Clear commitments, checked in on, with room to fall short and recalibrate.
- 05
Self-trust
Building a record of kept promises to yourself, starting small.
- 06
Relationships
Showing up better with partners, friends, family and colleagues.
Not a bootcamp. Not a lecture. A small group doing the work together.
Support belongs in self-leadership.
Self-leadership is sometimes mistaken for doing everything alone. In this program, support is part of it. The group is a place to talk about difficult emotions without posturing, and to practice recovering from setbacks alongside other men working on the same things. Connection and enjoyment matter here as much as discipline.
When you miss a commitment.
Missing a commitment isn't a contest of worth. It's a chance to look honestly at what happened and adjust. The group practices honest conversation, practical skills and accountability that leaves room for adaptable choices, so the next commitment fits real life a little better.
Format
The program runs for 12 weeks in a small group, meeting weekly. Each session pairs a practical skill with honest conversation and a specific commitment to try before the next meeting.
There are no published dates for the program yet, and enrollment isn't open. If you'd like to hear when a group is forming, mention it during a consultation.
